Expedition to Kangyatse 1 (6,400m.) is a technical one. Here we prep you by sending via Markha valley. Located in the south eastern part of Leh, Kangyatse peak is as famous as Stok Kangri. And also you can do three expeditions together, that is to Stok Kangri, Golep Kangri and Kangyatse.

    Day 1: Arrival in Leh
    Coming straight to the altitude of min 3,200 m from a much lower place can cause some health problems. So to avoid that, we suggest our guest to take complete rest for a day to get acclimatised. Later there will be a briefing of the program by the agent or by the company representative. O/N in Leh

    Day 2 : Leh Sightseeing.
    Second day is good to get out doing some sightseeing because you are already acclimatized. So we will Start by visiting Hemis and Thiksey monastery at first and then Stok palace after a hot lunch at Chamba restaurant. O/N in Hotel

    Day 3: Leh to Chilling.
    Early morning drive to Chilling and cross the river to the start the trek. From Chilling you will walk for 2 – 3hrs to reach skyu village. First day will be a gradual start to acclimatize properly. O/N at Camp Elevation Gain: 505 m Elevation loss: -347 m Total Distance: 8.24 Kms

    Day 4: Skyu to Markha
    It's a very pleasant hike, up the Markha valley today with the trail crossing numerous streams. Markha is a quaint village with a deserted fort and a small village. O/N at Camp Elevation Gain: 1,267 m Elevation loss: -840 m Total Distance: 19.9Kms

    Day 5: Markha to Thoachungtse/Hankar
    From Markha the country changes and the warm, relatively heavily wooded sections of the lower Markha is left behind. We might need to cross the river several times as there are no bridges here. Hanker, en route, is the highest village in the Markha valley. O/N in Camp/ Home stay. Elevation Gain: 462 m Elevation loss: -191 m Total Distance: 11 Kms

    Day 6: Thoachungtse to Base Camp of Kangyatse 2
    From Thoachungtse to the Base camp of the Kangyatse 2 is not that hard Journey as it will be almost flat towards the base. O/N at Camp

    Day 7: Buffer day/Summit Push
    Early in the morning at around 2;00AM, we start ascending up to submit the peak. The ascending up is quite tough and a bit technical as you climb towards the top. Then as you reach the peak, you will surely enjoy the unimaginable views that surround the peak. You can see the deep Markha valley beneath, the Stok ranges, and the Zanskar ranges that become bold as they ran towards Rubsho. Then descend down is not so easy and one should follow the instructions of the guide to avoid problem. It would be better to come down to Nimaling on the same day.

    Day 8: Summit Attempt

    Day 9: Nyimaling to Chokdo via Kongmaru la pass (5,100m).
    After breakfast start trekking to reach Kongmaru La (5100m). The trek to Kongmaru-La passes through narrow gorges. At the top of the pass, you can get the view of the Ladakh range and the villages of the Indus valley to the north

    Day 10: Leh – Sham region – Leh 124 Kms / 5-6 hrs
    After the breakfast drive for full day sightseeing to the Alchi Temple, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Hall of Fame museum and Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar & Indus River) O/N in Leh
